As part of our sustainability efforts, we offer an electric vehicle (EV) charging point for our guests. This is an important step for us as we support the transition towards a cleaner, greener future.

Simple charging with the Monta App
We’ve installed a Rolec EV double socket charger for our guests to use during their stay at Glan Clwyd Isa, so you and your family can take day trips out in beautiful North Wales, fully charged and ready to go.
We’ve selected the national Monta EV charging system, which uses a free smartphone app and is fully compatible with all electric vehicles. The intuitive Monta EV Driver App allows you to easily begin, pay for, and track the progress of your charging sessions.
How does it work?
1 – Download and Register
Download the Monta EV Charging Payment App and create an account, adding your payment details.
NOTE: We highly recommend doing this before you arrive for a seamless charging experience. The app is the most reliable way to get started.
If you have trouble with network coverage near the charger, please connect to our dedicated Wi-Fi network:

2 – Plug in
Plug your vehicle into our EV charger, conveniently located on-site.
3 – Scan with the App
Using the Monta App on your phone, scan the QR code on the charger to start your charging session.
4 – Stop when you’re ready
When you’re ready, just stop the charging session in the app.
5 – All done
Simply unplug and away you go!
How much does it cost?
EV charging at Glan Clwyd Isa is priced at 50 pence per kWh.
Using the Monta app is very simple. On first use, to ensure a smooth charging session, the app will pre-authorise a refundable payment (like standard petrol pumps) to validate your payment card.
